I've got the bristles and linseed out again. This time, rather than splashing my imagination on canvas, I'm working from a photo, taken nearly 6 years ago, during my visit to Australia. It's an exercise in technique more than anything, and I can certainly use the practice.
Like a jigsaw puzzle, I've started with the background, which frames the picture, and am working inward toward the more detailed object in the foreground - a bird. You'll see.
